Imatge Jordi González Castelló

Jordi González Castelló

Born in Barcelona in 1975. He has a degree in Arts and Humanities, and a master's and doctorate in Philosophy. He has also studied Illustration at La Massana and Direction at the Warsaw Film Academy.

Since the mid-1990s, he has painted, engraved and drawn in an unconventional way, focusing mainly on the iconic and scientific representation of the human body. Since 2015, however, he has opted for more anthropological and metaphysical work with installations, sculptures and interventions in nature with an aesthetic close to wabi-sabi. The pieces he makes are environmentally friendly and want to highlight the ancestral relationship we have as a species with ourselves and with nature.

He has exhibited more than a dozen times, both in Catalonia and abroad. He has participated three times in the Andorran Land Art Biennial, as well as in Els Ports: Natura i Art, Efímera (CACiS), Olivertart, among others, and has resided at the CAN de Farrera.

He has taught at different universities in Barcelona and has carried out numerous workshops with young people and children. In addition, he regularly writes essays and poetry.

Work presented:
